Steve has now finished the painting for The Evil Entwines and hopefully the book will be published very soon.

STORMCLOUDS

Steve and Ken Flynn have been working on completing the unfinished songs left by Louise Allen when she parted company with the band a few years ago. Most have been completed, with only two to go. The album, The Darkest Hour (the alternative Nightmares in the Sky) should be released on Rainfall early in 2003. A similar album of material featuring Melanie Townsend is also in production. Steve is also working on his King in Yellow project and is also searching for contributors to Lost Worlds in Space & Time, the follow up to Strange Aeons.

Another project which Steve will be starting in the New Year is an album of swamp/punk/horror songs with vocalist Mike Humphries under the name of The Doctor’s Pond.

NOVEMBER RAIN 7" EP

Some of you may be interested to know that at the same time as we pressed up the vinyl release of Nightmares in the Sky, Paul Ricketts of the defunct magazine Unhinged, pressed up 500 copies of a single which was going to be included with a new magazine he proposed starting, titled WOW!. This single features a song by the excellent Marshmallow Overcoat on one side and two alternative versions of songs from Nightmares in the Sky album on the other. November Rain was yet another version of the song with yet another set of lyrics (version 1 being on the vinyl Nightmares and version 2 on the CD) There was also a slightly different version of Drifting Away. So where is this single? You may well ask. Well, for the past three years or so it's been sitting in boxes somewhere in Paul's house, with no sign of ever appearing. If you want a copy of this single, write to Paul Ricketts, the Old Schoolhouse, Yatesbury, Nr. Calne, Wiltshire. SN118YE. UK. and ask him what the hell's going on.
